I am a cross-platform media journalist with over 15 years of experience and published work. The majority of my working life has been spent covering high-level sport, with particular focus on football and boxing.
I wrote for the Watford FC matchday programme for five years. I have football bylines with SPORTbible, Four Four Two, Football Talk, The Sportsman and Betfred. This is in addition to a wide range of boxing and professional wrestling publications.
My career highlight to date was interviewing Eric Cantona. The piece was dedicated to a lesser-known piece of King Eric lore; the letter Sir Alex Ferguson wrote to his departed talisman upon the Frenchman’s retirement. It was a tremendous experience getting Cantona’s thoughts on the note, his relationship with Sir Alex and the wider context of his shock retirement from the sport.
I currently work full-time as the senior boxing journalist for Betfred. My role involves planning, writing, producing, editing and presenting all boxing content. This includes fighter interviews, betting previews, news pieces, and live event coverage.
I have been fortunate enough to interview the likes of Paul Parker, Tyson Fury, Eddie Hearn, Ric Flair, Ricky Hatton, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Terence Crawford and Carlton Cole among many others, in a varied career in written journalism.
I previously produced The Lightweight Boxing Show with Anthony Crolla on the Sportsman Boxing YouTube channel. I have also spent five years as a writer, video editor and social media professional with the LADbible Group, where I gained a great understanding of what works for a social media audience. I produced sport coverage that broke company records and consistently met viewership and growth targets.
